How Long Are Treatment sessions

HiFu ULTherapy procedures take between 30 to 75 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the treated area. Patients are able to return to their regular activities right away.

Before & After Your Hifu Treatment

There is�t any special preparation needed prior to having your HIFU treatment, but preferably arrive at your appointment without any makeup on the treatment area.

It�s always good to avoid sun exposure, and stop using any skin irritants such as glycolic/salicylic acids, benzyl peroxide, retinol products such as Retin A, Tazorac, Triluma, Differin, and Vitamin C on the area being treated.

Important things to note before and after HiFu facial treatment:

• Avoid botox 2 weeks in or near treatment areas before treatment
• Avoid having any laser treatments on the area 2 weeks before treatment
• Avoid excessive sun exposure (sunburn) on the area 2 weeks before treatment
• Avoid any anti-inflammatory medication 48hrs prior
• If you have dermal implants, or any metal implants including chin implant/s, please let us know.
• If you�re currently taking any acne or skin thinning, or photosensitive medication such as Roaccutane, we can�t treat your skin as those medications cause a risk of burning
• If you have any open sores, acne, infection or skin sensitivity in the area we cannot treat with HIFU
• We can�t treat with HIFU if you have previously had threads within the last year
• We can't treat over dermal fillers
• HiFu isn't recommended for people with infections and open skin lesions at the target area, severe or cystic acne, and metallic implants in the treatment area

After your HiFu Facelift Treatment

• It�s normal for the area to feel warm or tight immediately after your HIFU treatment
• The treated area may be flushed, red and feel tingly
• Do not wax the treated area for 3-5 days
• Do not laser the treated area for 2 weeks
• Do not exfoliate the skin for 2-3 days
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
• Avoid skin care containing active ingredients for 3 days after treatment (i.e. Vitamin A, Vitamin C, AHAs and BHAs)
• Avoid hot baths, steam rooms and massage for 24 hours
• Avoid sunburn during the healing process of the skin for 2 weeks
• If the skin feels hot or sensitive, apply a cold compress to the area
• Apply SPF 30 daily and drink plenty of water

Although there are no known major side effects of having HiFu ULTherapy skin tightening treatment your clinician may book you in for a post-treatment assessment 4 weeks after your HIFU Facelift.
